We had a visitor to our roof yesterday. One of the neighbors called to say there was a really big bird on the roof above the garage. Rachel had been watching it, too. He kept flying back and forth from the porch roof just outside her bedroom window to the garage roof outside my bedroom window. He landed in our maple tree once, too. I think it was a turkey vulture, but I'm not sure. I was thinking maybe there was a dead rabbit or something in our yard, but I looked around and couldn't find any carcasses.
Violet was watching him the whole time, too.
We often see vultures and hawks flying overhead, but this is the first time we've seen them this up close.

Yes it it a valture and may be a trukey valture but not sure. It looks to me like the bird is enjoying his reflection. We had that problem with valtures when I worked in the glass office building in Orlando. These things would sit and stare at their reflections and fly after people when they were walking to and from their cars, that did upset some people. Love Dad
